Tara J. McMannes and Curtis W. Lowrey were united in marriage Sept. 15, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nev., in a quaint ceremony. Parents of the couple are Marilyn McMannes, Monroe; Bruce (Deb) McMannes, Stevens Point; Steve Lowrey, Monroe; and Debora (Barry Anderson), Alabama.
The bride wore an off-white dress with black accents and a flower in her hair. The groom wore an off-white dress shirt and black pants.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Monroe High School and a 2006 graduate of Martin's School of Cosmetology, School of Aesthetics. She is currently residing in Alabama.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Blackhawk Technical College. He is a Specialist in the United States Army, specializing in wheeled vehicle mechanics and recovery operations. He is currently in Iraq.
A celebration of their marriage will take place upon Curt's return.
