MONROE — Monroe Arts Center will hold its first Pumpkin Carving Contest from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Monroe Arts Center, 1315 11th Street.
Prizes will be awarded in four categories; elementary school level, middle school level, high school and adult. Participants are asked to write their name, phone number, age and grade in school (if applicable) on the pumpkin with permanent marker. Participants need not be present in order for prize to be awarded.
All pumpkins will be lit and may be viewed from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 30 on the front terrace of Monroe Arts Center. Pumpkins should be picked up by participants directly after the viewing. For additional information call 606-325-5700.
