FREEPORT - Highland Community College held a student leadership breakfast April 28 to recognize individuals for their leadership in a variety of roles on campus and in student clubs and organizations.
Liz Gerber, vice president of student development and support services and advisor for Student Senate, recognized student senator Benjamin Page of Monroe.
A number of HCC student clubs and organizations presented awards and recognized leaders for their accomplishments.
The Criminal Justice Club recognized Elaine Schmidt, vice president, and Benjamin Page, secretary, both of Monroe. Page also was recognized as a student leadership seminar participant.
Robert Brugger of Monroe was recognized as a Cougar Cheer Squad member.
