MONROE — The Apparitions Motorcycle Club, ABATE Region 8D and Green County Human Services plan to host a Fill the Trail event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Shopko in Monroe to provide gifts as part of a Foster the Hope project to ensure foster children and families within Green County have presents for the holiday season and beyond. 

Suggested donation items, such as games, books and toys for school-age children, gift cards for teens, diapers, pull-ups, baby wipes, cleaning supplies and games for a full family to enjoy together are encouraged. However, helpful donations come in all shapes and sizes. 

Each donation received will receive free admission for two to the Gifts that Foster Hope event at 5 p.m. Nov. 11.

The event is the first of two during the fall. The next Fill the Trailer will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at Shopko in Monroe.
