MONTICELLO — The 2021 Justice For A Cure event to kickoff Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) will be held Friday, Oct. 1 on the Lake Montesian Island in Monticello.
The program will begin at noon with Nikki Panico, Susan G. Komen State of WI Executive Director, as guest speaker. Following the program will be a parade of squad cars, firetrucks and EMS vehicles through the village. The event is hosted by the Monticello Police Department and Chief Szvon Conway.
The Justice For A Cure’s mission statement reads “Working in Communities to Educate, Raise Awareness, Support Cancer Research and Cancer Support Programs, Support Cancer Warriors, Survivors, Care Givers, and Honor those taken.
