Human trafficking educational session Oct. 2 at Wiota church

WIOTA — Wiota Lutheran Church will be having an educational session with Dawn Heath-Fiedler, President and Founder of Join the Movement to Stop Human Traffic. The topics will include human trafficking in our area and internet and cell phone (app) safety for kids and teens. 

This event will be held at the church, 6650 State Rd. 78, South Wayne, WI 53587 on  Oct. 2. 

A brief meal will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., with the program beginning at 12:30 p.m. Lunch will include BBQ, salads, desserts, coffee, lemonade. A $5 suggested donation per person to help cover the meal.

Donations to the foundation are requested as trial-size toiletries to be placed in gift bags for the victims they serve: shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lip balm, face wash, body wash, washcloths, and personal items (tampons, sanitary pads, etc.).
