JUDA — The Zion and Oakley United Methodist Churches Youth Group continue to collect aluminum cans for recycling at their collection cage located in the corner of the Bank of New Glarus parking lot located on Walnut Street in Juda.

As of the end of June, the group has collected over 2,200 pounds of cans and netted over $1,200.  Money raised has been donated to the Fairbanks Alaska Rescue Mission, Care Net Pregnancy Center in Monroe, the UMCOR Ukraine Relief Project and the Stained-Glass Window Repair Fund for the church in Juda.

Funds raised in July will be donated to the Juda School to help purchase extra supplies for students.

A reminder that only empty aluminum cans are accepted, which means no empty cat food cans.
