Annual Juda can collection begins

JUDA — The members of the Zion/Oakley United Methodist Youth Group are thankful for the support of their mission as a group last year with their aluminum cans for recycling.  

A total of 4,363 pounds of cans were recycled last year, with $1,890 being raised.  Proceeds from the cans were given to Fairbanks Rescue Mission, Care Net Pregnancy Center, UMCOR Ukraine Relief, Juda School District Backpack Program, Green County Sexual Assault Recovery Program, Green County Food Pantry, Pleasant View Activity Fund, Stained Glass Window Repair Juda for Zion UMC, Green County Family of Promise and Bank of New Glarus-Juda Christmas Gift Tree for Juda Students.  

The collection cage for this year is located in the corner of the Bank of New Glarus-Juda parking lot on Walnut Street in Juda.
