4-h

Those in 4-H believe in the power of young people. They see that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve their surrounding world. They are America’s largest youth development organization-empowering young people across the community to lead for a lifetime.

4-H is open to all youth in 5-year-old kindergarten (5K) through high school, whether they live in the city, village or country. They bring belonging, opportunity and experience to all kids from all backgrounds. 4-H celebrates access and equity for all kids.

Green County 4-H has 16 community 4-H clubs across the county to choose from. Families are invited to talk to club leaders and visit club meetings before selecting a club that best fits their family’s schedule, location and interests. Get started by contacting the Organizational Leader(s) of clubs that you are interested in learning more about and potentially visiting. 4-H clubs in the Monroe and Browntown area include Browntown Busy Beavers, Cheese Country Clovers, Clarno, Hiawatha, Next Generation and Young Americans.

Youth are welcome to join 4-H anytime of the year, but are especially encouraged to join during their primary 4-H enrollment window of Sept. 1 to Nov. 1. In 2024-25, enrollment dues for youth members are $15 per member, but the enrollment dues are waived for first year families. Meaning families new to 4-H can join for free.
