FREEPORT - Highland Community College is hosting an information session for individuals who are interested in learning about Highland's nail technology program Tuesday, July 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the Highland Community College Business and Technology Center.
Nail technology faculty and current students will be present to provide information and to answer questions at the informational meeting.
Industry experts report that the cosmetology industry grosses $72 billion dollars per year and experienced an 18.3 percent growth in the number of salons during the past three years. The industry already employs 1.7 million professionals in more than 370,000 beauty salons, barber shops, nail and skin care salons in the United States.
