'Hearts' luncheon set for Feb. 19

MONROE - The "Open Hearts" Luncheon, sponsored by Stateline Women's Connection and Stonecroft Ministries, is set for 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 in Peppercorn Banquets at Ludlow Mansion 1417 Mansion Drive.

The cost is $9 and includes lunch, tax, tip and program

The luncheon will feature "The Heart of Monroe," presented by Pam Christopher, executive director of the Monroe Chamber. Christopher will highlight the various projects and successes that are happening in the community.

The speaker is Janet Newcomer, of LaSalle, Ill., who will present "Freed to Love," the story of a dramatic life journey to freedom. Newcomer will discuss her dysfunctional family, co-dependency, broken marriages and finally marrying her childhood sweetheart years later.
