ORANGEVILLE - The Mighty Richland Players are bringing two of Jonathan Rand's one-act award-winning comedies to their stage June 19-21 and June 26-28.

In "Hard Candy," job applicants at Banff Enterprises will do anything to claw their way up the corporate ladder. In a fast-paced series of hilarious interviews, the new recruits try every trick in the book - from bribery, nepotism, and the Old Boy Network to blackmail, seduction, and mind control.

"Check, Please" follows a series of blind dinner dates that couldn't get any worse - until they do.

Directed by theater founder, John Buford, the large cast includes Josh Ryan, Emily Evans, Carl, Joan, and Jed Sanford, Paula Fulton, Peter Woodruff, and John and Caryl Buford.

On Friday and Saturday, doors open at 6:30 p.m. with show at 7 p.m. The Sunday shows, June 21 and 28, will be matinees with doors opening at 1 p.m. and show beginning at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $20. Group discounts are available. Telephone (815) 819-1310 for reservations.
