Green County 4-H takes part in communications contest

MONROE - Green County 4-H held its Communications Contest Feb. 25 at the Green County Justice Center. This contest was open to all countywide 4-H members in grades 5K through one year past high school.

The goal of the Green County 4-H Communications Contest is to give 4-H youth an opportunity to develop the skill of speaking before a group or audience. Youth were eligible to submit one entry in each of three divisions: speaking division, prose/poetry or traditional speech; demonstration division, individual or team demonstration; and non-verbal communication division, poster, scrapbook, video/computer presentation or promotional display.

This year's participants were Mickaelynn Andrews and Tess Lange, Washington Center; Abigail Biank, York; Addyson Brauer, Jaydon Brauer, Maylee Brauer, Royce Brauer, and Lillyanna Schmid, New Horizons; Isabella Johnson and Aleczander Johnson, Next Generation; Averey Marean, Juda Jolly Juniors; Isabelle Rolli, Dayton Dairylanders; Linnea Tabaka, Young Americans; Lilli Voelker, Spring Grove Honest Workers; and Clayton Waski and Morgan Waski, Cheese Country Clovers.

Participants were evaluated and provided feedback, each receiving a certificate of participation and a participation ribbon for grades 5K through second or ribbon-placing for grades three through one year past high school.
