MONROE - The Green County Genealogical Society Research Center, in the lower level of the Monroe Public Library, is available to the public for research.
New summer hours for June through September are: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and the third Saturday of each month and 1 to 4 p.m. Fridays. The main holdings are on Green County, but both Rock and Lafayette counties are represented along with several other counties, states, countries and ethnic groups. A large clipping collection of births, marriages and obituaries is available. Volunteers are on staff to help with research.
