Gene and Jeannie Baker, Monroe, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their son, Kevin Lynn to Carisa Rael McGuire. Carisa is the daughter of Tom (Jean) McGuire, of Mineral Point and Carol (Dave) Grainger, of Dodgeville.
The future groom is a 2003 graduate of Monroe High School and attended both Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa, and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for criminal justice. He is employed as an armed guard in Madison.
The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Mineral Point High School and a 2003 graduate from University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She is employed as a dispatcher and corrections officer for Iowa County Sheriff's Department.
The couple will be married on October 25 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mineral Point. A reception will follow at the Comfort Inn in Mineral Point.
