WHITEWATER - The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater announced its spring 2015 graduates. The commencement ceremonies were held May 16 in UW-Whitewater's Kachel Fieldhouse.

Area graduates included:

New Glarus: Ellzabethe Croy graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts in journalism

Monroe: Kyle Netzel, bachelor of science in liberal studies with a minor; Emily Chermack, bachelor of business administration in general business.; Brandon Child, bachelor of science in sociology; Jalen Capesius, bachelor of arts in art; Jennifer Beer, bachelor of arts in social work; Amanda Graham, master of science in counseling; Rachel Soderberg, bachelor of arts in psychology

Juda: Tyler Hanson, bachelor of science in biology; Beau Benner, bachelor of science in education in physical education; Renee Youngman, bachelor of science in social work

Darlington: LeeAnn Kurschner, master of professional accountancy in accounting; Bryan Reichling, bachelor of business administration in finance.

Browntown: Nichole Lattin, summa cum laude with a bachelor of science in mathematics.

Albany: Hillary Best graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in environmental science.

Students who graduated cum laude had a GPA of 3.4 to 3.59. Magna cum laude students had a GPA of 3.6 through 3.84. Summa cum laude students had a GPA of 3.85 and above.
