DARLINGTON - Darlington Regional Clinic and the senior cooperative project in downtown Darlington was awarded the Wisconsin Top Rural Development Initiative Award for 2009. This award from the Wisconsin Rural Partners is designated for projects that have a positive impact and demonstrate an innovative idea in a rural area.

Wally Orzechowski has been awarded a 2009 Wisconsin Community Leadership Award for his part in the project.

Orzechowski will receive the awards at the Wisconsin Rural Summit June 5 in Stevens Point.
