BLANCHARDVILLE - Blanchardville Community Pride will sponsor the 31st annual Cruis'n Wisconsin Car, Motorcycle and Truck Show from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 9 in McKellar Park in Blanchardville. Door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, T-shirts and beer and food will be available.

This year's featured vehicle will be a 1937 Ford Cabriolet, "Velocity," owned by Scott and Ann Jobb of LaGrange, Illinois. It is a scratch-built car built by the late Barry Loebeck's V8 Shop in Cleveland, Ohio that took seven years to build. It is powered by a small-block Chevy ZZ4 and 700R4 transmission and a highly modified fiberglass body. With more than 100 handmade polished stainless steel bolt caps and other numerous handmade parts, the bright amber metallic street rod has traveled 72,000 miles and to 36 cities in North America. It has been shown in 56 indoor shows and has won awards in every show. Awards include a 2003 Great 8 Finalist for the Ridler Award, 19 times Best Rod Award in the ISCA circuit, second place at the 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015 ISCA finals, and many others.

Wyatt Raymond is this year's local spotlight with his 1998 Nissan 240sx. Completely built and assembled in Blanchardville, Raymond spent two years creating this 1000-horsepower street car.

This year's special attraction will be Wrecktify Collision and Restoration of New Glarus, displaying current projects. Follow them on Facebook or visit www.wrecktifycollision.com.

All stock to 6 years old and modified to present vehicles are welcome. There will be more than 130 trophies, 36 classes and three Best of Class trophies in each class in this judged show. Dash plaques will go to the first 300 vehicles.
