County 4-H-ers hold Cake Revue

MONROE - Members of the Green County 4-H Foods and Nutrition project participated in the annual Cake Revue event March 17 at the Green County Justice Center. Cake Revue is considered a pre-fair event of the Green County Fair and is judged by a licensed fair judge with ribbons being awarded to the youth.

Youth are divided into four levels based on grade and can bring up to two items to be judged at the Cake Revue.

Examples of project options this year were decorated cupcakes; character cakes from a mold; spring, Easter or St. Patrick's Day themed cakes; and three-tiered cakes.

This year's participants were Devri Bennett and Maddie DeMuth, Cheese Country Clovers; Kjersten Bernstein, Clarence Bridge Pioneers; Mara Dickson, Skye Dickson and Alexis Moen, Browntown Busy Beavers; Annika Esselstrom, Dayton Dairylanders; Alayna Fiez, Grace Gold, Brooke Hanson, Taetum Hoesly, Raevynn Jackson, Aleczander Johnson, Leilah King, Timothy Leslein, Alexander Murray, Emilee Olson, Maggie Paul and Auburn Von Kaenel, Next Generation; Michelangelo O'Brien, New Glarus; Emily Goers, Hannah Broger, Ella Salas, Jenna Sherman, Sierra Sherman, Sylvia Wahl and Natalie Wahl, Washington Center; and Lilli Voelker and Jasmine Voelker, Spring Grove Honest Workers.
