BTC plans career days

JANESVILLE - Blackhawk Technical College's Tech Prep division offers World of Career Exploration Days for area high school students in Green and Rock counties. World of Career Exploration events are designed to give high school students the opportunity to explore Career Pathways. Students will visit BTC campuses, experience activities and demonstrations in different program areas and interact with BTC instructors and students.

World of Career Exploration Days will be offered throughout the spring semester. Registration is required. Forms can be found on the BTC Web site at www.blackhawk.edu or by calling Julie Budrow at 608-757-7729. Following are the events scheduled for February.

• World of Information Technology: Network Specialist on Tuesday, February 10: A Network Specialist meets today's needs for sharing information. Students in this program receive training in network design, installation, troubleshooting, administration and management. Join BTC second year students in class as they build and troubleshoot their network computers.

• World of HVAC/R on Friday, February 27: Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology is one of the fastest growing industries in the world today. Visit the HVAC/R lab and see if being a service technician for HVAC/R equipment is the career path for you. Participate in hands-on activities and interact with BTC instructors and students.
