Briggs & Reed Tractor Drive planned for Sept. 1
tractor parade
A group of Platteville High School students celebrated National FFA Week by driving tractors from Country Kitchen to PHS Wednesday morning.

ORANGEVILLE — The 14th Annual Briggs & Reed Tractor Drive will be held Sept. 1.

Tractors will leave Jim Briggs’ farm at 8 a.m., 3699 W. Winslow Road, Orangeville.

There will be coffee, snacks and juice at the farm before leaving.

The plan is to travel 24 miles to Orval Reed’s farm, 7942 Neeseman Road, South Wayne, by noon and have a picnic. There will be a stopping break half way through.

It is not necessary to drive a tractor to come and enjoy the picnic and go through Reed’s barn filled with several antiques. Please bring a dish to pass. Beverages, meats and place settings will be furnished.

A vehicle will be available to take dishes to the picnic. Call Jim with questions at 815-789-4570 or Orval at 608-677-2301.
