MONROE - Brennan's Markets of Monroe, Madison, and Brookfield recently awarded scholarships to two members of the class of 2009 at Pecatonica High School, Blanchardville. The scholarships were awarded in honor of Barbara Kapke Ruegsegger, for the positive energy she brings to the school. Ruegsegger is a former outstanding Pecatonica High School athlete and is currently a coach at the school. Recipients of the 2009 scholarships were Brittany Kent and Sean Doran.
Brittany Kent is the daughter of Kevin Kent and Jennifer Erickson and was active in art, student council, National Honor Society, homecoming court, volleyball and basketball. Brittany will attend Loras College to major in athletic training, minor in coaching and to play basketball.
Sean Doran is the son of Sandy and Marty Doran and was active in band, FFA, prom court, and track and field. Sean plans to attend Southwest Technical College.
