MONROE - Henry Tschanz hit a milestone at the community blood drive March 27 at the United Methodist Church. Tschanz donated his 175th unit of blood, bringing his total gallons to 21.875.

For every unit of blood donated, three lives are saved. The next blood drive at the church will be from 11:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. June 4.

An appointment can be made online at redcrossblood.org. Using RAPID PASS, an online pre-donation process, can save up to 15 minutes at the next appointment.
