Church's X-mas music night slated
APPLE RIVER - First Presbyterian Church is hosting a Christmas Sharing and Celebration Music Night, lead by Phillip Brown, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11 at the church, 210 W. Baldwin St.
The evening will include a program to celebrate the Christmas season. It will include special music and a sing-a-long.
Attendees are asked to bring to bring a canned or boxed food item, paper products, or personal care items to benefit the Bread of Life Food Pantry.

Cookie sale set for Saturday morning
BELLEVILLE - St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church will be hosting a Christmas Cookie Sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 10, 338 S. Harrison St.
All cookies, candies, and breads will be homemade by the parish families.
A cookie workshop will be available for kids to decorate cookies while parents shop.

Breakfast with Santa is Saturday
LENA - Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance at "Breakfast with Santa" from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Lena Fire Station, 117 E. Main St.
Tickets are $4 for ages 7 to adult, $2.50 for ages 4 to 6 and free for children under 3.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will also make an appearance from 11 a.m. to noon at Fitness on Main, 208 E. Main St.
