Alliant awards Monroe graduate

MONROE - Logan Stamm, Monroe, a graduating senior at Monroe High School, was recently awarded a $1,000 Community Service Scholarship from the Alliant Energy Foundation.

Stamm is one of 25 students from across the Alliant Energy utility service territory to receive a $1,000 Community Service Scholarship from the company's foundation in 2009. He plans to study electrical engineering at the Milwaukee School of Engineering this fall. Logan is the son of Tony and Carol Stamm.

The Alliant Energy Foundation Community Service Scholarship recognizes outstanding community leadership in young people and is designed to help first-time college students reach their academic goals. The program considers several criteria, including leadership experience and community service or volunteer activities as well as the content of a 300-word essay submission.
