Albany: Historical Society meeting Jan. 15 at museum

ALBANY - Albany Historical Society with resume its monthly membership meeting schedule on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at the museum, 119 N. Water St. in downtown Albany. A short business meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m., followed by a wrap-up report on last September's Farm Technology Days by one of its hosts, Keith Blumer.

The Blumer Family welcomed exhibitors and visitors to the memorable event, held for the first time in Green County, with county-wide participation in staging it.

Blumer will tell how the decision was made to hold Farm Technology Days 2007 on their Plainview Stock Farm, just outside Albany on Wisconsin 59, and all the work involved in bringing it to a most successful conclusion.

Following Blumer's talk, refreshments will be served by several members of the Albany Historical Society's Board. The meeting is open to the public.

Albany's Historical Museum, 117-119 N. Water St., is open from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays and other times by appointment. Summer hours are Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. More information is available by calling (608) 862-3423 or (608) 862-1120.
