Walker's plan makes sense

First off, I admire teachers, they are doing something that I couldn't do, that being to teach our children. That said I think it's ridiculous that they are having such a fuss over Governor Walker's actions. Come on join the real world. Why shouldn't you pay as much for benefits as most people?

There aren't many that have as good of packages as you do. A big percentage of people are having a hard time. People have been laid off and can't find jobs, they have lost homes and pensions have been lost. You say you are doing it (protesting) for the kids. Would you rather have them inherit a mountain of debt? I read where beginning teachers are having a hard time making ends meet. Aren't most kids just out of college having the same problems?

Walker is just doing what he said he was going to do. That is why unions were trying so hard to get a new contract before he took office. I admire him for having the guts to do the difficult things to get the budget in line. Something very few are willing to do. Hopefully his common sense and fortitude works it's way to the federal level. Other governments are starting to get it. Hope ours does too.
