To the editor:
We hear a lot about Gov. Scott Walker dividing the state. Gov. Walker didn't divide the state, the unions divided the state.
I think we should give the governor a medal for having the courage to stand up to these big union bosses.
In the Life section of the Monroe Times, News of the Weird, Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012: "Even at times of school teacher layoffs nationally, the Buffalo, N.Y. school system continues to cover cosmetic surgery for teachers." They pay all costs. The expense in recent years has been from 5 to 9 million. That's equivalent to the average salaries of at least 100 teachers. What has this got to do with teaching our children?
Let's stand up to the unions and keep our governor to do his job.
