Thank you, John Waelti, for reviving fond childhood memories. In the 30s, I patiently awaited that cry (Hi-Yo, Silver, away!) It meant that Grandpa's newscast and cowboy show on his battery-powered radio were finished. The two of us could draw farm animals or do arithmetic with gumdrops (which I got to eat when the lessons ended) or other fun things.
