Even: Monroe Home Pro Series Raffle this summer
Melissa Even

Throughout the month of May and into June, the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and Industry has held a Monroe Home Pro Series event. We have been featuring many of our chamber members that specialize in home improvement. We were unable to host our annual Stateline Home and Business expo so we sought out a unique way to put our community in touch with the professionals that can help them with their day to day needs as well as their once-in-a-lifetime home ownership needs.

We featured business through a series of interview that were broadcast on local radio station as well as everyone’s favorite social media outlet.

We created a home maintenance guide that is a handy tool that anyone can use to keep track of routine maintenance around your home garage and lawn. The guides are available at a number of our Chamber Member locations including the several that took part in offering their expert advice to our community

Tru Home shared how to install replacement windows. Zersen Carpet One showed us how to install self-installation carpet tiles. They have drastically changed, you should stop in and check them out. A1 Electric showed us the importance of an in-home backup generator and how they can safely install one for your home, farm or business. Stateline Solar shared the economic and environments benefit of solar conversion.

We also received daily Pro Tips from Bulletproof Concrete Coating, KC’s Landscaping Loescher Heating and Air Conditioning, Strese Automotive, Colony Brands and a few of my own for good measure.

We saved the best for last: On June 30, we will be drawing the winning tickets for our Monroe Home pro Series Raffle. Tickets are on sale right now at several Monroe locations. Woodford State Bank, Fuzzy’s Audio and Video, W.C. Envy Salon, Max’s Threads, Aster Assisted Living, Bartels & Co Tap and of course at our office. We want to thank all the partners locations, for helping us sell the tickets and all of the companies that took part in the entire Monroe Home Pro Series.

Great prizes are available with the grand prize a Bad Boy zero radius riding lawn mower valued at $3800.00. It will make mowing your yard a dream!

The mower is currently on display at Hardware hank on County Road DR. and is being kept safe for the new owner. Stop out and take a look at it, grab some ice cream from the Swirl Station while you are there.

Our second prize comes from KC’s Landscaping. A beautiful stone fire pit fits in any yard. So many great memories happen around campfires. This one is waiting to call your back yard home.

Third prize is a Do-what-you-want-with-it kind of prize. Tri State Gutters is offering a $250.00 gift certificate for you to use at Builders First Source. You can create your own prize with this one.

And fourth prize is a Ring Doorbell from Fuzzy’s Audio and Video. Any of these prizes would make a person happy. Ticket prices are $25.00 for 3 or $10.00 each. Get your tickets and make yourself a home pro!

And just like that summer is here. While we are wrapping up our raffle sales, we are turning our attention to welcoming visitor and residents back to take part in our third Season of Bill Ross’s Murder Mystery Tours. Ross has a total of nine mystery novels in his series and we are honored to have him lead folks through the history and mysteries he has created with Monroe’s iconic locations as his back drop in each of his stories.

We kicked off our third season and are excited to offer group tours by appointment. So grab your book club, take the walking tour and then hit any of the locations for a bite to eat or some shopping. The Minhas Brewery is featured in the tour. If you haven’t stopped for good or drinks, you will not be disappointed.

Ticket pricing is $10.00 each or 2 for $15.00. We can accommodate group pricing as well. Just give us a call and we can work something out for your class reunion, team building event or if you just have friends and family in for a day. I am happy to report there is no shortage of great things to do in around Monroe this summer so feel free to reach out to us at the office. The Historic Ludlow Library Building is a great place to start exploring Monroe! We are here Monday-Friday.
