Thanks for a great 'Taste of Spring'

We would like to thank all the businesses and individuals who attended the "Taste of Spring" fundraiser for the Monroe Arts Center and shared the evening for "Savor the Arts."

It is with sincere appreciation to Chef Wave Kasprzak from The Dining Room at 209 Main in Monticello that we thank him for his talent and hard work in preparing an excellent fine-dining experience for all the guests in attendance. Chef Wave developed an exquisite entree and coordinated with local restaurants including Café Claudeen's, Monroe Country Club, Pancho & Lefty's Outlaw Grill and Peppercorn Banquets of Monroe. We want to acknowledge the cheese donations from Klondike Cheese Factory, Brennan's Country Farm Market for the lovely wines and Minhas Craft Brewery for contributing the tasty brews to round out the evening. We thank our venue hosts, Peppercorn Banquets, especially owner, Shirley Haglund and her staff who made us feel at home, were professional and a pleasure to work with.

It is with deep gratitude that we thank the artists, businesses and individuals for their contributions to the "live and silent" auctions. Because of their generosity the "Taste of Spring" continues to be an entertaining evening and successful fundraiser for the Monroe Arts Center. Thanks also to our consummate auctioneer Hans Bernet, assisted by "seasoned pro" Ron Spielman.

A big thank you also goes to the Monroe Arts Center's staff for their countless hours and tireless work to keep things running smoothly. We are very fortunate to have such dedication within the Arts Center and within our community to support the "Arts" in Monroe. Being part of the Monroe Arts Center fundraisers are a chance for all of us to give back to the community and present quality programming and gallery exhibits for all to enjoy.
