To the editor:

The climate at City Hall in the last several months has not been good. This is evidenced by an unusual number of very good employees leaving their employ. They are seeking positions elsewhere not because of moving outside the area, but because of the daily stress they are under wondering whether their jobs are secure or whether they will constantly be monitored over their shoulders, or whether open records requests will be put out on them. This climate did not exist until mayoral candidate Michael Boyce came onto the council. I have served on city council for 12 years, and in all that time there has never been a climate between alders that exists today. Mr. Boyce stated at a recent mayoral debate that there is no conflict and that everything is fine and most of the time the council agrees and votes the same way on things. Really? Where has he been? Maybe he better stop playing with his electronic gadgets while sitting on council and paying attention. I support Bill Ross for mayor who is a man of ethics and good morals and has served our city well.
