Living in Twining Valley, which I love, I drive to the Square area almost every day. This gives me an idea that would correct the problems on Ninth Street. Make 10th Street "one way" west from 20th Avenue to Seventh Avenue. Make Ninth Street "one way" east from 11th Avenue to 20th Avenue.
This would accomplish the following:
1. Save the pretty trees on Ninth Street.
2. Reduce the dangerous problem at the "S" curve between Ninth and Eighth streets.
3. Make entrance and exit to Kwik Trip and the Red Apple easier and safer.
4. Reduce westbound traffic and make the left-turn entrance to Ninth Street at the Brennan's and Walgreen complex and Eighth Avenue safer.
5. And, very importantly, save the city several million dollars.
A trial run of six months or a year might prove this feasible.
