Monroe

It's hard to believe that the end of the year is upon us. With all the festivities that we celebrate also comes the time for individuals to file campaign paperwork. After the humbling support for my bid for Monroe Mayor in the 2010 spring election, I've decided to run for Alderman of the 10th Ward. I believe it is in our common interest to demand a representative who will bring much needed debate, diversity, as well as someone who will not be a carbon copy council member. As alderman, I will work diligently to stop the rubber stamping and open the channels of communication between city hall and my constituents.

Citizens tend not to trust their government because they cannot see it work. With better transparency and discussion, we can bring back a sense of trust. As alderman of the 10th Ward I will never forget the promise that all elected officials make when taking office. Together, with your unequivocal support, we can make this a better community for tomorrow. I look forward to representing the people of Ward 10 in the new year.
