I agree with Paula Ritschard on the subject of school mascots offending someone. I thought years ago when this was first brought up that it was silly. It started as an honor to represent the schools athletic teams, etc., as their school symbol.
The schools have pride in what they want to represent them. Now it's offensive? When did this get changed? Like Paula wrote, if this rule goes into effect, then next it will be animals and birds that teams can't use as mascots, either.
This is another waste of time and money that could be better spent on issues a lot more important.
