Politicians live up to low expectations

Recently at an open house at the visitor center in D.C. near the Capitol, Sen. Harry Reid said on television, "Now we won't have to smell the sweaty tourists." Well, he seems to forget who pays his wages. The sweaty tourists don't smell half as bad as some of the skunks in Washington. As you might already know, that money that went to banks - now they bought a bank in China.

The government has a habit of throwing money at a problem without using common sense. A lot of jobs could be created if the government didn't outsource jobs at the state and federal level, so I hope those future projects use all U.S. products. In fact, the V.A. quit outsourcing flags, and now all American flags have to be made in the U.S.

At a port in Los Angeles, China junk comes in on Chinese ships and is inspected by a Chinese X-ray machine. However, right above the port is a factory that makes the same X-ray machine.

Politicians should take a pay cut for the job they do both at the state and federal levels. I vote for the person, not for the party. I didn't vote for anyone who got elected. However, I am hoping now Obama is going to spread the wealth around, and I have my pickup all gassed up to haul the money to the bank. Do you think I will have to make a second trip? Hah.

About all we can do out here is call or write or go to listening sessions to let politicians know how we feel. But the one running for office that uses the most money has more to pay back to whomever gave the money, so don't expect too much - if you don't, you won't be disappointed.
