I wanted to alert your readers to some negative political mail that is being sent in our area. I recently received a mail piece from a group calling itself "All Children Matter," and I was appalled by its content. This Michigan group, run by the former Republican speaker in Madison and funded by billionaires like the Waltons in Arkansas, attacks John Waelti for supporting Health Care reform. Seems to me like these attack ads might be a sly way to reward Brett Davis for voting with the Madison Republicans 97 percent of the time.

These attacks are unfair to John, and I resent that some folks from outside our community are trying to influence our elections. He's a good man, a local, and he's got smart ideas about the economy. I'm voting for John Waelti in November and I hope you will, too.
