Wartenweiler: All you need to know in state supreme court race
Letter To The Editor

From Bill Wartenweiler

Monroe

To the Editor:

Regarding the upcoming election for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice, all you really need to know is the candidate’s position on killing unborn children. The woman candidate is OK with it, contrary to one of the oldest laws on the books.

Of course, an election as important as Supreme Court should not be decided on one issue. The problem is, in today’s political climate, anyone who accepts killing the unborn for the convenience of the birth-mother is also likely to support other ideas. They probably learn towards alternative history such as CRT, transgender participation in women’s sports, DEI hiring practices, and other liberal ideas. These topics are popular in Madison and Milwaukee, but all are lacking common sense.

Brad Schimel is a conservative candidate for the Supreme Court of Wisconsin and will not make up laws from the bench. He will evaluate the laws as they are written in the light of truth and common sense. If laws are changed, he will abide by them and rule accordingly.

As a current Wisconsin Circuit Judge with a spotless record, he has the experience and expertise to be a Supreme Court Justice. It makes good sense to vote for Brad Schimel to keep Wisconsin on the right track.
