To the editor:

When someone insults a friend by telling lies about him I must do all I can to set the record straight.

Yesterday, I had a conversation with Jeff Wright’s opponent in the 51st assembly race asking him to stop running the inaccurate negative ads attacking my friend. He said he wasn’t running them. I stopped by the WDMP radio station and asked who was. Answer: “Outside Dark Money.”

The ads are a lie. Jeff Wright is not double dipping.

Two years ago, when Jeff ran, he chose not to stoop to responding to these same false, negative, attack ads on him. He told me then that he wanted to run a clean campaign, “that in 20 years his children could be proud of.”

I support Jeff Wright for State Assembly because he tells the truth. He is a strong voice for our rural communities. When he is elected to the state assembly his primary focus will be representing the people in our district in the state assembly and he won’t be bought by outside dark money. He will work for us.
