Vote unbiased Neubauer for state Supreme Court
Letter To The Editor

From David G. Deininger

Retired Judge, Green County Circuit Court and Wisconsin Court of Appeals

Monroe

To the editor:

Judge Lisa Neubauer is by far the more qualified and experienced candidate to take a seat on our state’s high court. She has ably served the citizens of Wisconsin as a member of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals for the past 10 years and as its chief judge for the past four. Prior to that, she was a litigation attorney with one of the state’s top law firms.

Judge Neubauer understands that it is not the role of a justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court to make the law fit one’s personal ideology. Rather, in her time on the appellate court bench, she has demonstrated independence, fairness and impartiality; qualities that will make her an outstanding addition to our supreme court.

In short, Judge Neubauer has earned the respect and confidence of the citizens of Wisconsin. That is why I, and over 300 other present and former judges statewide, have endorsed her candidacy.

Voter turnout in spring judicial elections is often much smaller than for fall partisan elections. This means that an energized minority of voters who wish to advance a particular ideology or special interest can succeed in electing less-qualified justices whom they believe will support their agenda. Don’t let that happen this year.

Remember to vote on Tuesday, April 2, and please join me in voting for Judge Lisa Neubauer for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
