Vance: What do we want to avoid by not voting for Donald Trump
Letter To The Editor

From Diana Vance

Monroe

To the Editor:

This is a time when the voters in our country must take front stage for just one day and make the choice for president. The candidates running for the highest office are Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

They are very different people. Kamala Harris is a woman while Donald Trump is a man. Fortunately the day has come when women are equal to men.

But to be fair, Kamala Harris has more excellent qualities than Donald Trump does to serve as our president. Let me give you this one.

About one month ago when Kamala Harris was serving as vice president of our country was in serious negotiations going on to free four American citizens from prisons in Russia. Joe Biden was our president at that time and he was working with seven other nations in an attempt to free these Americans.

The news was on many television stations and newscasters were giving many interesting news I did not expect to hear.

As the four freed Americans first stepped on American soil one of the newscasters said that Kamala Harris had worked with three of the counties that helped our Americans go free. He said, “Kamala Harris had worked diligently with the leaders of these countries to keep them aboard this very important project.” And she accomplished that while Vice president.

Every voter can believe in the qualities she has for serving as president. She will work diligently to free every one of us if we are captured in Russia.

Donald Trump is a friend to Russia’s dictator Vladimir Putin. Do you think he would even try to free these four Americans?

Many of his supporters are leaving him as they stop believing his lies because what will he tell us when president?

Now is the time to ask that question. And there are so many more. You have always been diligent voters. I believe you will continue to be.
