To the Editor:
Tucker Carlson of FOX news supports the Russians in this possible war in Ukraine started by the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. When a country is close to attacking and beginning a war, it is pretty bad when a lying news commentator says he supports the enemy. Russia has been against every move America has made in this potential conflict. And they powder puff their decisions like invading two counties in eastern Ukraine saying it was a peace making action.
Tucker Carlson’s traitor-like comments will definitely be used by Russia’s propaganda network to their great advantage because they came from an American. At this point the United States along with its allies are being very careful to avoid war but it is very difficult when the opponent, Russia, lies every chance he gets.
Tucker Carlson is also being very unpatriotic when he supports Russia. That support probably covers up his hatred for all Americans and this country. Tucker Carlson’s support for Putin who is the instigator of this potential conflict, is bordering on traitorous conduct. We are a hair strand away from fighting Putin, dictator of Russia, and Tucker Carlson says he supports Putin. I think a year’s stay in Russia would change his mind.
Putin’s words also need to be suspect. He is a liar and it is very difficult to negotiate with a liar. Of course he calls himself a man of truth. Let’s not be stupid. He has no trouble giving out information that usually cannot be believed. Just look at how he twisted the truth saying the Russians who came into Ukraine were not invading. They were there to make peace.
I think “Tucker Carlson and the whole FOX news staff are “enemies of the people” like Mr. Trump once said of decent journalists. Their outright lies and attacks on truth are wrong. It is almost impossible to have a democratic government with all these lies coming from FOX news. It also attacks our ability to trust.
There is plenty of excitement with the truth. It is time to shun those who do not tell the truth. They are not lying for your sake but to push an idea or an action that will enhance themselves — and not you.
