To the Editor:
On July 12, I witnessed Republicans in the House of Representatives use a word of at least 3-4 syllables when they questioned the head of the FBI, Chris Wray. How can these idiots keep getting elected when they do nothing for the people of this country? This type of questioning is said only to show off their new big word. I guess they think this will impress people like me who are watching this travesty. I thought we sent representatives to do something for the country and not for their pitiful egos. The people who are impressed must be ignorant persons who think this is good government. Republicans no longer deal with truth. Instead they spend their time looking up a word like “travesty” and think they sunk their putt.
This time I’d had enough of this travesty committed by the Republicans who know just two things — how to lie and how to waste the time of voters.
That night I telephoned the FBI. They asked my name and a few other questions and was I reporting a crime.
I answered, “Yes. The crime was committed this very afternoon in the House of Representatives.” I told him how much I had admired their leader, Chris Wray and the way he handled the stupid, rude questions they were slinging at him that afternoon and he gave the truth back to them.
I told the agent that there are a lot of people just like me who respect the FBI and the dangers they are facing many times in their job. I feel they are people who know how to control themselves when knocking on a bad person’s door. Accused that the FBI is always rough when going in someone’s door, Chris Wray said, “No they do not. They just do the job correctly.”
Then I spoke up once more saying, “I notice that you get criticized and I wanted you to hear the other side where I am just telling you like it is. I have absolutely no respect for those Republicans congressmen and women because their ignorance shows and they also are very mean and coarse political people. Many of us do not care for the Republicans we have now. And we respect the FBI.”
The agent I was speaking to said, “I will quietly pass what you said onto the others.”
I thanked him and said, “Good night.”
