To the Editor:

Those who think it is freedom to refuse to wear a mask, I will say “No it is not.” These people are infecting children by the hundreds of thousands and are now in hospitals all across this country. They do not have the right to infect others. If we all work together and get vaccinated and wear a mask for only a short time, no one’s freedoms are being take away. This is a fairly new variant and it requires a vaccine to end it.

However this delta variant, if it has a place to grow like we find in unvaccinated people, it can turn into a new variant that will be so strong that it can kill vaccinated people. No one will be protected. You have to begin to realize just what terrible things can happen if you remain unvaccinated. The vaccine right now will save lives but if people do not get vaccinated and create this deadly future, thanks a lot.

This is what the scientists predict. I am writing about it to protect my three children, their spouses and my four grandchildren. Please open your eyes! What have you got to lose? The vaccines have been taken by millions of people with no serious bad effects. To be stiff necked at this time is almost treason against your fellow Americans. You will take life away from them. Some could say that is murder. The delta variant we have is deadly. The vaccines will protect those who get it. It is not just a news item any longer. You will go down in history as Americans who abused their freedom.
