To the Editor:
In so many ways war is hell — the terrifying bombs exploding, the flames, older family members are suddenly a soldier again, being wounded or killed when 2 minutes before you were eating an ice cream cone on a peaceful, sunny day or having your son or daughter call and sobbing because they are hostages.
Your day turns into one of intense, physical fear. Yes, I am writing about Israel. But I took a good look at this violence because it was real and it gave me an opportunity to warn Americans that we have members in the House of Representatives, far-right Republicans, who want to talk on television quite often telling you that violence is good. It’s a fast way to get things done.
Leading this false sermon is Rep. Jim Jordan, Republican, who might become Speaker and second in line to become president. Rep. Jordan has experience with the planning of a violent attack. He knew ahead of time the plans for the violent January 6 insurrection at our capitol.
So he is not anyone who has the best interests for you and our country at heart. They are trying to convince you that democracy is not as efficient as violence. Donald Trump is telling us that democracy is too slow.
It also keeps us free and is government by the people, of the people and for the people. Our VOTE is found in democracy.
Violence and constant repetition of what they are offering brings a dictator to power. They want you to find that appealing. That is how Hitler did it.
I am counting on all of you to take this to heart, that they are not telling you your vote will be gone and you will only have a violent way to get rid of this dictator. It will be Civil War. Don’t put that in your future. Civil war is also extremely violent.
Let’s see Donald Trump and Jim Jordan for the violent persons they are. They are even talking about why they want to do this. Donald Trump does not only want to be dictator, he says we should view him as “KING”.
I hope not any one of you believe they have your interests n their hearts. They intend to use violence to get what they both want. Remember Israel, okay?
