Rufenacht: Vote ‘Yes’ for Pleasant View
Letter To The Editor

From Carol Rufenacht

To the Editor:

On April 2nd, please vote “yes” for the Pleasant View (PV) referendum. Visit their Facebook page at Vote Yes For Pleasant View. For the past 12 years, Pleasant View has had a recurring request for funds to help maintain the facility. The amount we paid toward this request has been less than $50 a year. For instance, our property six years ago was assessed $44.66. In 2023, the payment went down to $30.59. PV was recently remodeled and has no capital debt. They have a dementia stabilization facility which is the only one in the state. The number of residents and staff needed to care for them is increasing. Some of the programs PV provides for our county are meals for the Home Delivered Meal Program (ADRC Meals on Wheels); hosts several youth apprenticeship programs through multiple school districts; works with Greenco Industries to employ individuals; and provides free nursing assistant training and certification. Let’s care for our friends and loved ones close to home in a trusted top-rated facility by voting “Yes” in the upcoming referendum.
