To the Editor:
Nancy Fisker is running for a second term as the Lafayette County Board representative for District 10. District 10 includes most of the Town of Wiota, and parts of the Towns of Argyle and Lamont. She is my representative and I want to keep her as my representative.
There are 4 primary reasons why I am supporting her. The reasons are 1. She listens to her constituents; 2. She is tightfisted with the tax payers’ money; 3. She does not rubber stamp Committee recommendations; and 4. She asks questions.
Additionally, as a member of the County’s Human Resources Committee she is working on the establishment of a personnel system that will create pay equity, standard hiring practices and improved accountability. Her work on this Committee is important to me because the current practices for hiring staff appears, to me, to be chaotic, expensive and open to favoritism. The establishment of a personnel system will be a significant improvement to County government administration.
Having served two years on the Board, Nancy has gained knowledge on how it works and how to be effective. For these reasons she should have another term in office. I urge you, my fellow District 10 citizens, to vote for Nancy Fisker as our representative.
