McLaughlin: Experience matters
Letter To The Editor

From Grace McLaughlin

New Glarus

To the Editor:

I am supporting Jane Bucher for Circuit Judge. She has broad experience in civil, criminal and juvenile cases — the kinds of cases that come before the Circuit Court. Importantly the bulk of Attorney Bucher’s experience is right here, in our local communities, working every day to make our courts more just, equitable and fair. She knows the successes and failures of our judicial system and is poised to improve it.

Over the course of her career, Attorney Bucher has represented over 2,300 individuals, helping them to live more productive lives, be more successful and make positive contributions to society. As part of the team that established the Green County Drug Court, she helped create a program that not only holds offenders accountable but provides access to treatment that can turn their lives around, make our communities safer and save taxpayer dollars.

Yes, experience matters, as do empathy, a deep knowledge of the law and a passion for making our little corner of the world a better place to live and raise a family.
