Letter to the Editor: Remember, don’t refute history of H.W. Bush’s work
Newspaper 2

From Richard Horn

Brooklyn

To the editor:

This is going back to the recent death of President Bush. It was mentioned a couple of times that he was instrumental in speeding up the unification of Germany. That was so obvious and logical that it should not be met with resistance, but it was. I have always been under the impression that Great Britain and Margaret Thatcher didn’t want to see the unification. That is because they, correctly, thought that Germany would become the leading land in Europe. Like successful people worldwide, including the USA, they have their detractors, but the result (peace and prosperity) speak for themselves.
