To the editor:
My wife and I are both Independent voters. As Independent voters, we are both voting for Democrat Joe Biden. As for the many reasons we are voting for him is that he believes in science to solve our global warming problem. The way California is burning up to the fact that many homes have burned and the quality of the air is so bad that it makes it just about impossible to breathe.
As for who is going to solve the COVID-19 problem first, I believe it will be President Obama’s vice president, Joe Biden, who is now running for president, will get it under control. One of the most simplest ways to do this is to wear a mask any time you are shopping, which is getting to be almost standard practice anywhere you go.
All the while this COVID-19 virus was spreading, Republican President Donald Trump was downplaying it and was never seen wearing a mask until lately. So, while he has paid little respect for the people that have worked for him or been fired, he has just been too slow to realize that he must respect science but has ignored it, creating many enemies, even abroad.
I’m a veteran and lifetime VFW member and even there, Republican President Trump refused to respect the generals that worked for him.
My wife and I are both going to vote early by absentee ballot to make sure our votes get in on time because Republican President Trump is deliberately trying to slow down our postal service.
I heard on Sunday, Sept. 13 morning news that Republican President Trump wants to cut Social Security. This sounds ridiculous as many Republicans get Social Security, so if they were smart, they too, should vote for Democrat Joe Biden. I hear a number of Republicans are doing that as well.
As for all the authors of books written about Republican President Trump, that if you would have taken the time to read some of them like my wife and I have done, you would have come to the same conclusion we have and vote for a candidate like Democrat Joe Biden for president. We now have a sign for Democrat Joe Biden which we purchased from the Green County Democrats.
If you think the working class deserve a better standard of living, Vote Democrat.
